A watchmaking icon, the Omega Speedmaster was the first watch to be worn on the Moon. It was also the first watch with an external tachometric scale. Marketed in 1969, the Mark II reference 145.014 is distinguished by its tonneau shape, which was the big trend at the time. It had the advantage of being a very resistant watch for its time.
It also marks the democratization of the caliber 861, a profound evolution of the 321.
Our lot is one of the first produced, dating from 1970.
