HERMES Paris Made in France Rectangular box in silver-plated metal and wood-lined gilt metal, the gadrooned lid centered on a medallion with engraved decoration of a chariot embellished with the Shahine system and topped by a falcon. Inscriptions and engravings inside: THOMSON CSF, Armoiries de l'Arabie Saoudite, 1400 - SHAHINE - 1980. Signed "HERMES PARIS" and square maker's mark RAVINET D'ENFERT. Dimensions: 12x19x2.5cm. With its original gray case and diary refills for the four quarters of 1980. This box is a prestigious gift offered around 1980 (Hegira 1400) to celebrate the sale by Thomson-CSF of the Shahine (falcon) weapons system to Saudi Arabia.
