WOLFERS and Augustin JULIA-PLANA (1934-1979), 1970s Yellow and white gold 750‰ dome ring, the textured setting stylizing bark holding three rough and partially polished lapis lazuli, and enhanced with brilliant-cut diamonds. Hallmarked by the Maison Wolfers and annotated "DESIGN JULIA-PLANA" on a soldered oval plate. Finger size: 54. Basket width: 2.5cm. P. Gross weight: 17.4g. Augustin JULIA-PLANA, of Spanish origin, is a designer who distinguishes himself by his play on texture and the use of original or unconventional materials in jewelry. Many of the stones used are also left partly rough, as on our ring. In 1968, following his association with Swiss jeweler Simon Schlegel, he produced pieces for many renowned jewelry and watchmaking houses, including Aldebert, Clerc, Yves Saint Blaise, Tiffany and Wolfers.
