CHAUMET Paris, 1970s Pair of circular earrings composed of a 750‰ "mirror"-style polished white gold disk, highlighted with a 750‰ yellow "nugget" decoration. Clip-on systems for unpierced ears in white gold 750‰. Signed "CHAUMET PARIS" on one of the buckles on oval plate. French work, House diamond hallmark (JC). Diameter: 3.5cm. P. Gross weight : 32 g. (Minor knocks and scratches, slight oxidation). This pair of earrings is emblematic of Chaumet's creative abundance in the 1970s-1980s, notably with the L'ARCADE collections. The wild gold with "nugget" decoration, combined with mirror-polished gold, testifies to the inventiveness of the Maison's creative studio and its designers. An installation entitled "Un Age d'or: 1965-1985", celebrating these rich years, has been organized by Maison Chaumet, in its Place Vendôme salons, from October 5 to December 2, 2023 (Curated by Vanessa Cron).
