( ) The first part "consists of a notice on the different races of the high regions of Tonkin; the 2nd part comprises Eléments de grammaire taï, where each rule is followed by exercises whose very simple sentences contain only common words; the 3rd part deals with the study of black taïs writing; the 4th part is a French-taï vocabulary; the 5th part a taï-français vocabulary".
