Beautiful pair of pistols with rich silver and gilded metal decoration of trophies of arms in light relief, the barrel gold damascened with columns, foliate scrolls and a crescent moon. The walnut stock is inlaid with silver filigree motifs of foliate scrolls and rosettes. Silver trim. Signed on the lock LAMOTTE AINE A SAINT-ETIENNE and marked London. Circa 1800, for the Oriental market They are presented in a double case decorated with metallic thread embroidery forming foliage on a red velvet background.
