A rare set of four Louis XVI silver candlesticks A rare set of four Louis XVI silver candlesticks 18th century Paris, 1774 (letter L) for two and 1775 (letter M) for the other two. The wicks are well stamped. Master silversmith : Louis Emmanuel Gabriel, received master in 1773 H. 29 cm; total weight: 2.870 g. Suite of four candlesticks and their bobèches, in cast and chased silver, with a contoured circular base underlined by three leafy clasps and a figured cartouche underlined by a filet amati. The fluted umbilicus is surmounted by a baluster shaft with laurel garlands and a godron-decorated spigot.
