The pear-shaped mug with handle is made of ruby glass. The gilded silver base is a contoured and fluted pedestal, topped by a circular terraced belt held in place by wolf's teeth. The gilded silver lid is domed with a fluted doucine and topped by a flat terrace with a central molded-sided spinning top. The top of the handle is encircled by a half-ring and a poly-lobed leaf in gilded silver. The thumb rest with cut-out scrolls is attached to the lid and hinge. The number 423 is inscribed under the mug in black ink.
Condition: a crack extends from the neck to the base of the handle.
