Vase with handles in colorless glass A Venetian or façon de Venise glass vase Venice or façon de Venise, early 17th century H. 21 cm; foot diameter: 11 cm The ovoid vase ends in a wide cylindrical neck. A glass net is applied halfway up the neck and on the shoulder of the body. Two twisted handles, fixed at the level of the two fillets, represent stylized seahorses with blue glass eyes. Two grotesque masks, grimacing and bearded, are applied on either side of the shoulder. The body rests on a ribbed bow ending in a wide hemmed foot. Condition: good, body slightly "cloudy".
