Large diamond-engraved flute in colourless glass A Dutch diamond-engraved façon de Venise flute Netherlands, 17th century H. 38 cm; foot diam. 9 cm Provenance : Vecht Collection, Amsterdam, since 1920; then by descent. The flute is entirely diamond-engraved with floral branches, putti, birds and squirrels. The hollow baluster leg, between two discs, rests on a wide circular foot hemmed towards the reverse. The leg and foot are not engraved. Condition: perfect
