[Savoie]. HARRIS (John); SENEX (John). A new map of Savoy and Piedmont from the latest observations. [London, 1721]. 1 copper-engraved map (63 x 52.5 cm.), contours colored at the time (marginal wetness and soiling, right margin cracked, central fold browned). Map of Savoy and Piedmont, illustrating the region with great precision. It features two vignettes and a title cartouche. The first vignette is a detailed plan of the city of Turin, fortified in the military style of the period, while the second shows a picturesque view of Vercelli in Italy. This map was made by John Harris and revised by John Senex. It appeared in his New general atlas, containing a geographical and historical account of all the empires, published in London in 1721.
