[Metz]. [DEZAUCHE (Jean-Claude)]. Nouveau Plan de la ville de Metz avec tous les changements et augmentations faites jusqu'en 1784 par M. D***** ingénieur géographe. A Paris, chez Dezauche, [1784]. 1 copper-engraved plan, ca. 55 x 81 cm. on sheet 60 x 86 cm;, colored, cut into 21 segments joined by paper on spine (one fold split at foot, a few small tears, a few small worm spots).
Plan of Metz printed on azure paper and carefully watercolored. Highlights typical 18th-century military architecture, in particular Vauban's star-shaped system of fortifications. In a column on the left, a numbered legend refers to 95 places or buildings.
