French work circa 1900 "Toi & Moi" scroll ring in yellow gold 750‰, platinum 950‰, brilliant-cut diamond in claw setting and rose-cut diamonds on the shoulder. Finger size: 57. Width : 0.7cm. Gross weight: 2.4g. (Missing pearl). From the estate of Pierre Moitessier (1880-1966), French lawyer and senior civil servant. A prominent family under the Second Empire, the Moitessiers are best remembered for two portraits of Madame Moitessier, née Inès de Foucauld (1821-1897), by Jean Auguste-Dominique Ingres, in the National Gallery in Washington and London.
