A majolica chevrette Orsini-Colonna type majolica chevrette, the spout in the form of a dragon's head with yellow and blue scales, with polychrome decoration on either side of the spout of two bust portraits of men in profile in reserves framed by foliage and fleur-de-lis on a blue background and surmounted by a band bearing the pharmaceutical inscription in Gothic characters: Sy° de Sucado, the handle decorated with blue and yellow filets. Losses to the spout, some chipping, pierced base. Castelli, workshop of Orazio POMPEI Mid 16th century, circa 1545-1550 Height: 22 cm. Provenance: Private collection, Anjou, France
