VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, Years 1950-1960 "Leaves" set in yellow gold 750‰ comprising a ring and a pair of earrings. Clip-on systems for non-pierced ears, yellow gold 750‰ snowshoes. The ring signed "VAN CLEEF & ARPELS" and numbered "71615". The buckles signed "VCA" and numbered "87433". French work, diamond hallmark of Atelier André VASSORT. Ring - Finger size: 47. 1.4cm wide. Weight: 9.7g. Earrings - Dimensions: 1.8x1.4cm. Gross weight: 13.8 g. P. Total gross weight: 23.5 g. (Slight oxidation). During the 1950s-1960s, Van Cleef's taste for flora was unavoidable. Compositions made from multiple leaves were particularly fashionable, either treated "in white" (platinum and diamonds) or in color. Leaves are ribboned, braided, twisted, arranged in chevrons or crossed. Our "Leaves" set is an excellent illustration.
