French work from the late 18th century Circular box in 750‰ chased yellow gold and rows of pearls, the lid adorned with a miniature depicting a uniformed officer in bust form, translucent brown enamel on a guilloché and pastillé ground, woven brown hair adorning the base. Signature on the miniature difficult to read. Poinçon de Maître (Couronne, Fleur de lys, JB, Différent and two grains of medicine), Poinçons de charge et de décharge pour Paris, 1780-1789. Dimensions: 6.3x2cm. Gross weight: 77.8 g. (Glass and enamel cracks).
