PICASSO. Don Quixote riding with Sancho. - Lot 146
PICASSO. Don Quixote riding with Sancho. (Paris?) Published by "Combat pour la Paix. 1955" (March 10.) Large framed lithograph, 54.5cm x 37cm. Signed in the plate. Some spotting. Printed on arches paper. Along with Daumier's lithograph, this is one of our finest representations of our two heroes. With its sobriety and finesse, this engraving was often reproduced, notably in the first edition of Don Quixote published in Havana in 1960 by the Cuban revolution.
