Two volumes in-12 (XXVIII, 470 pp // 624 pp), full tan calf, spine ribbed and decorated (18th century bindings). Bindings with scuff marks. The Comte de Tressan adapted it to the literary tastes of his time, modifying the novel of chivalry into a gallant short story. This pseudo-translation underlines the enduring popularity of this novel of chivalry in the 18th century. Palau, 10542; Brunet I, 217 refers only to the 1751 edition.
