In chapter VI of the first part of Quixote, Cervantes is full of praise for the Christian poet Ludovico Ariosto "if he speaks in his idiom". "For he has robbed it of much of its natural merit, and so will all those who wish to pass THE VERSE BOOKS INTO ANOTHER LANGUAGE.... "Such is the case with Nicola Espinosa's versified translation, which he condemns to the fire!
Palau, 16629 : Salva, 1527 ; Brunet I, 443 : In 35 songs, the author celebrates the glory of Spanish warriors!
