One volume in-8 (16 pp, 384 pp, 3 h. -t. figures), full brown basane, warped and worn, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets (Spanish binding of the period, worn). The only separate edition published in the 18th century since the first in 1614. It is illustrated with three plates drawn by Ximeno y de la Cruz and engraved by B. Vasquez y J. J. Fabregat. Inspired by the work of César Caporali, Le Voyage du Parnasse consists of eight chapters in "terza rima" and a prose text. It is a literary satire in which Cervantes inventories the poets of his time, expressing his literary sympathies and hatreds.
