[CERVANTES]. PRINCIPALES AVENTURAS DE DON QUIJOTE. - Lot 23
[CERVANTES]. PRINCIPALES AVENTURAS DE DON QUIJOTE. Madrid, Editora Nacional, 1964. Album in-4 of color comics, covers preserved, half red grosgrain morocco, spine ribbed and richly decorated with gilt fleurons (Binding signed Jordi 1965). Here, too, the name of Cervantes disappears, as the hero is so closely identified with his author. Cartoonish color illustrations by Enrique Herreros. The prologue warns: "No le ha preocupado adivinar como hubiera realizado el proprio Cervantes las illustraciones a su libro, sino que ha tratado de imaginar como hubiera escrito Herreros el Quijote. " A very fine copy.
