Created in 1930, the "Cercle" Clip is a key piece in the history of Van Cleef & Arpels. Adapted to the fashion and preciousness of the Art Deco era, the clip offers an infinite number of ways to wear it, on clothes, hats or as an evening bag clasp. The Atelier des frères Rubel, closely linked to the history of the House of Van Cleef & Arpels both in France and in its development in the United States, was the manufacturer of this model of clip, which can feature a wide variety of decorations and precious materials. Bibliography: Similar models, as well as a page from a 1930s catalog showing the clip's wear, are reproduced in Sylvie RAULET's book "Van Cleef & Arpels", Éditions du Regard, 1986, P. 179.
