In the mid-18th century, a garnet deposit was discovered in Occitanie, near the town of Perpignan, hence the name "Grenats de Perpignan". An emblematic jewelry creation was born from this discovery and became characteristic of the region. These jewels combine three distinctive features: closed bezel, rose-cut and pearl-set.
