Travail anglais de la seconde moitié du XVIIIe siècle Rectangular copper case with polychrome and gold enamel on a white background, depicting animated scenes and floral motifs, the fittings in chased yellow gold 750 thousandths in the Rocaille style. Hinged lid, push-button embellished with a crowned rose-cut diamond, underlined by the inscription "Souvenir d'affection sincère", revealing eight compartments designed to hold steel, glass and 750 thousandth yellow gold accessories: a pencil holder, a needle, a curette, tweezers forming a nail file, a tablet, a letter opener and two bottles embellished with pairs of birds. Possibly original accessories, hallmarked in the 19th century (eagle head). Dimensions: 7.4x4.3x3.4cm. P. Gross: 165 g. (Minor accidents and missing enamel).
