Address on verso of second leaf. In English. Small loss of paper due to breakage of postmark with damage to text. Long letter in which O'Meara talks about his sick mother and the financial problems of a mutual friend, Armstrong: "[...] I think that tou have acted with sound discretion in removing our poor mother from the rock for the reasons which you have been mentioned, especially in the reason of the year being unusually severe, no benefit could arrive from her continuance in the country at least [...]".
