[PEC] Maurice GENEVOIX. - Lot 287

[PEC] Maurice GENEVOIX. Le Roman de Renard. Illustrations by André Pec. Paris, Presses de la Cité, 1958, in-12 bound half-basane, spine with 4 raised bands, double title-piece, illustrated cover preserved. First edition limited to 100 deluxe copies (no. 3). Enriched with an important autograph letter from the author, very curious and original, since originally intended for Count Robert d'Harcourt, he re-destined it to Claude Nielsen and his wife "Et voilà comment on se tromper! There's nothing untoward about the "mutation". But I am hastening - albeit a little late - to return this copy n°3 to its true and legitimate addressees... my colleague and friendly accomplice (and he knows well what I'm thinking of, the carp and black-bass of familiar ponds rather than the traps of the press services!)".
