Translated from the English of Mr. James by Mrs DIDEROT, EIDOUS and TOUSSAINT. Revised, corrected and enlarged by M. Julien BUSSON. Paris, Briasson, David et Durand, 1746-1748, 6 volumes in-folio bound in full contemporary basane, ornate ribbed spines, double title-piece, one volume roughly restored. Illustrated with 63 of 68 copper-engraved plates, most of them folding: 10 of 14 plates in volume 3, 12 of 13 plates in volume 4 and the 6 plates in volume 5 are missing.
