BAKER (Henry). The Microscope Made Easy. London, printed for R. Dodsley, 1744. In-8, [1] f., XVI-311, [6] f., pl., tabl., brown basane, ribbed spine decorated with cold-stamped irons, red morocco title-piece, fillet, roulette and cold-stamped motifs on boards, spine replaced (binding a little worn, stain on lower board, foxing, some soiling). Third edition of Baker's treatise on microscopes, whose original 1743 edition was followed by a second edition the same year. It is illustrated with 15 plates and a table "Tableof the magnifying powers of convex glasses employed in single microscopes". Provenance: Count Roussy de Sales (bookplate).
