Late 18th century French school Vestale or Winter Proof in patinated bronze on a cylindrical marble base Height: 33 cm Bears a collection/sale/inventory label: numbered 49 and dated 1787 Provenance: Sale Beaussant 204, May 15, 2019 The same model, embellished with a brazier, was produced in terra cotta for the Manufacture de Sèvre under Boizot's direction in 1788.
