In-8, [8] f., 212 p., contemporary glazed havane calf, 5-nerved spine, gilt title, ornate caissons, boards decorated with a triple gilt fillet on the edge and angular fleurons, all gilt, gilt roulette on the spines and chasses, edges gilt on marble, spine, headpieces and corners restored (front. a little trimmed on the right with tear without missing on 1 cm, some soiling in margins, rust hole on a letter p.148). Very rare first edition of the first account by a French traveler to the Far East, Henry de Feynes (1575-1647). An English translation based on the manuscript appeared in London in 1615.
