This set is emblematic of the innovative creations made by Chaumet in the 1970s-1980s under the artistic direction of René MORIN and offered for sale by Galerie L'ARCADE. Animal subjects were particularly popular during this period of freedom and daring. The use of innovative jewelry materials, such as bronze and its various colored patinas, is particularly noteworthy. The pieces produced - elevated to the rank of works of art - demonstrate the excellence of Chaumet's jewelry-making expertise. An installation entitled "Un Age d'or: 1965-1985", celebrating these rich years, has been organized by Maison Chaumet, in its Place Vendôme salons, from October 5 to December 2, 2023 (curated by Vanessa Cron). Several animal-themed necklaces - including a "Panther" and a "Duck" - combining bronze and gold, were featured in the exhibition.
