Work of the 1950's, In the taste of VAN CLEEF & ARPELS - "Duck" brooch in yellow and white gold 750 thousandths representing a duck with bow tie and hat, the body set with a cabochon emerald and the eye with a round faceted emerald. Pins in 750 thousandths yellow gold. Dimensions: 3.5x2.7cm. Gross weight: 13.7g. (Chips, cracks). With a Van Cleef & Arpels case. Our brooch is to be compared with the Clips "Canard au Chapeau", "Cane au chapeau" and "Bec en l'air", designed in 1950, 1951 and 1952 by the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, heralding the humorous animal collections characteristic of "La Boutique" launched in 1954.
