Circular stamps of Nicolas SAGEOT (1666-1731), received Master in 1706, (4 times) on the back, on the top right, on the crosspiece and on the jamb. H. 241cm - W. 140cm Accidents, missing items and restorations, the bronze mask to be refixed under the cornice. Transformations in the closing system, the added bottom, the changed windows. Note : The inlaid decoration of our library is almost identical to that of a pair of bookshelves stamped by Nicolas Sageot, from the former Adriano Ribolzi collection (n° 35 of the Sotheby's sale in Paris on November 30, 2011), moreover some bronzes can be found on other furniture (those of the spandrels and the masks) and we know that Nicolas Sageot had exclusive bronze models. - Nicolas Sageot (1666-1731), active from about 1690 to 1720.
