Two of them are addressed to the exceptional Alexandre Vattemare (1796-1864), famous ventriloquist and French philanthropist, creator of a system of international scientific, literary and agricultural cultural exchange. Paris, September 28 and December 1, 1851, January 20, 1859 and November 28, 1860. 3 pp. in-8 and 1 p. in-4. Two printed headers of the Asiatic Society. About the American Asiatic Society and its reports: "The Asiatic Society has received from you [...] sixty-four Oriental books and pamphlets, most of which come from the American missions in the East and which the Society could not have procured by any other means than your system of international exchange [...]"; of the printing of the table of contents of the travels of Ibn Battûta (spelled Batoutah) "forming the fifth and last volume of this work.
