CLAUDE, Georges (1870-1960), French physicist, chemist and industrialist, inventor of the neon tube, he developed a process of liquefaction of the air as well as an ingenious system which made it possible to extract thermal energy from the oceans. Set of 2 documents. Perforations of file without damage. -M.A. S.l. May 1928, according to a note in another hand. 1 p. in-4. Scratches, corrections and additions. Very interesting manuscript containing a project for an electrical installation in Havana: "The presently planned purpose of the 1st stage will be to prepare everything for the realization of the projected plant in Havana for a power of 12,000 to 15,000 kw [...]". He foresees a sounding to measure the temperatures and currents at different depths in the sea, the experimentation of "different systems of pipes, various studies", patents, obtaining estimates of execution, etc. He then develops the other steps to follow. -Autograph draft of a letter to a friend [written on the back of the second page of the preceding document].
