BOURBON-VENDÔME, François II de (1491-1545),... - Lot 53 - Gros & Delettrez
BOURBON-VENDÔME, François II de (1491-1545), count of Saint-Pol and governor of Dauphiné. He was knighted by Bayard at the battle of Marignan and fought alongside François I at the battle of Pavia. L.S. with a few autographed words, addressed to Viscount Philippe Le Tirant, treasurer of savings at the Louvre. "Paigny", December 14, 1535. 1/2 p. in-folio. François II de Bourbon-Vendôme informs his correspondent that he has ordered M. de La Bourdaisière to draw up a blank signature signed "de moy" and "scellé de moy" to serve as a receipt to the treasurer of the savings bank for the sum of 2325 livres out of a sum of 1300 écus d'or that he owes him. Autograph compliment "Vostre bon amy Francoys". Beautiful signature.
