Anatole de MONTESQUIOU-FEZENSAC (1788-1878)... - Lot 42 - Gros & Delettrez
Anatole de MONTESQUIOU-FEZENSAC (1788-1878) General, Baron of the Empire. Autograph letter signed, dated Paris June 17, 1850, addressed to the writer Jules Janin, asking for his support for his poem "Moïse". "Like a drowned man, I still cling to what feels like a saving branch: I imagine that your kindness will find the way to slip, in one of these brilliant feuilletons which always contain so much spirit and light, a protective word for my Moses. Never a timid work could find a more honorable and useful support". 1 page in-8, small hole in the second leaf with the address of the wax seal.
