Published in 8 volumes between 1973 and 1977, EXIT is a magazine of art, poetry and literature directed by Jean-Marie Gibbal and the editorial board comprising Patrice Delbourg, Olivier Kaeppelin, Martine Cagnot and Raphaël Pividal, with literary contributions from William Burrgouhs, Brion Gysin, Jean-Marie Gibbal, Martine Cagnot, André Velter, Yves Buin, Mac Cullers and Georges Perec.
The magazine has highlighted contemporary artists such as Jacques Monory, Marisa Duhalde, Marie Breton, Luc Girard, Kijno, Aillaud, Van Velde, Bailly, Messac, Sandorfi, Sampfel and Schlosser, notably by inserting prints. Each issue, with a print run of 100, includes a separate edition of original prints by these artists.
