This group of embroidery is quite difficult to define its origine. It seems that the oldest ones are coming from India and Bangladesh. The use of murga silk is typical. So many exmaples are found in Iran that it is possible that a production of these embroidery was made for Iran and for Ottoman Empire, too. As, persians, armenians, etc ... copied them, it is quite difficult to understand which ones have been made in India and which ones are from Iran. Etat / Condition: usures, restaurations. XIX ème siècle / 19th century. h.86 x 51 cm / 2,8 x 1,6 ft
