Attributed to Victor BOUCQUET (1619-1677) Presumed portrait of Willem van Beveren (1624-1672) Canvas Height: 55.5 cm Width : 41 cm Provenance : Private collection, former provenance: Mr Dony van Landschoten from S'Hertogenbosch. Willem van Beveren was a 17th-century Dutch nobleman from an influential Dordrecht family. His high rank is attested by his portrait painted in 1643 by the renowned painter Gerard van Honthorst, now in the collection of the Netherlands Agency for Cultural Heritage (see reproduction on plate 289 of the catalog JUDSON J.Richard and EKKART Rudolf E.O., Gerrit van Honthorst (1592 - 1656), Doornspijkj, Davaco, 1999).
