Émile Séraphin VERNIER (1852-1927) Very fine silver plate (925 thousandths) depicting a Saint-Christophe signed S.E. VERNIER, circa 1910 Stamped SILVER, Minerve and workshop hallmark. Approx. 9 x 9cm Weight : 140,40 grammes Notes French sculptor, engraver and medalist. E. S. Vernier was president of the Société des artistes décorateurs from 1905 to 1910. He later became an expert in antique jewelry in Egypt, and produced jewelry for Bapst & Falize, Froment-Meurice and Vever. Bibliography : M.
