In-12, full red morocco, wide framed lace on covers, ornate ribbed spine, double fillet on edges, inner lace and gilt edges, bookplate (Allô binding). 106 pp. In his wild youth, Abbé de Choisy disguised himself as a woman and, under the name of Comtesse des Barres, indulged in libertinism. "Alone, he could use and abuse a woman's costume before so much happiness, and alone, he could thus recount this amorous odyssey." (Laporte, Bibliograpgie clérico-galante).
