L. 32 cm x l. 5 cm Fashion accessory and symbol of elegance, the fan is indispensable in the hands of the elegant. Very fashionable in the last years of the 19th century, it comes from the workshops of the fan makers and more rarely from the prestigious Parisian jewellery houses. Very rare are the fans coming from the house of Boucheron. For this fan, which has preserved its history thanks to its case, the finesse of the lace is associated with strands of tortoiseshell without decoration. The refinement is offered by the important diamond numerals, as well as the clasp allowing to hold the fan when it is closed. A second fan of the house is known. It is now kept in a private collection and is marked "S" in diamonds on the blades.
