Sponge ball in openwork silver resting on a contoured pedestal, the lid engraved with the arms of Arthur Richard DILLON (1721-1806) stamped with a Duke's crown. Paris, 1753 (some accidents at the sighting). High. : 10cm / Poids : 222g An openwork silver sponge ball resting on a contoured pedestal is attached, the lid engraved with emblems drawn apart and stamped with a county crown. High. : 9cm Note: Bishop of Evreux in 1753, Archbishop of Toulouse in 1758, then of Narbonne in 1762 and primate of this city, born President of the Languedoc States. In 1777, he obtained the prestigious abbey of Les Hommes de Saint Etienne in Caen and was the last abbot to be appointed.
